ReceiptGPT is designed with a "Privacy by Design" philosophy. We believe your financial data is personal and should stay that way. Our application is built to function entirely on your device without the need for external servers.

1. Data Collection & Storage

On-Device Storage: All financial data, including expenses, budgets, and merchant details, is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
No Accounts Required: ReceiptGPT does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or link your identity to your financial data.
No Cloud Syncing: We do not host your data on our own servers. Your data stays on your iPhone.

2. Apple Intelligence & Processing

Local AI Parsing: ReceiptGPT uses Apple Intelligence (on-device Language Models) to parse text from your screen via iOS Shortcuts.
No Data Transmission: The text extracted from your screen is processed locally on your iPhone's Neural Engine. None of this text, nor the resulting parsed data (amounts, merchants), is ever transmitted to us or any third party.

3. Third-Party Services

Apple Services: As a native iOS app, ReceiptGPT integrates with standard Apple services (such as Siri, Shortcuts, and Widgets). Use of these services is subject to Apple's standard Privacy Policy.
No Analytics/Tracking: ReceiptGPT does not use third-party analytics (like Google Analytics or Firebase) or advertisement tracking. We do not track your behavior within the app.

4. Data Control

Deletion: Since all data is stored locally, deleting the ReceiptGPT app from your device will permanently remove all stored financial records. We cannot recover this data for you as we never had access to it.
